NFTs in 100 years 🔮

Dear Bankless Nation,

What will NFTs look like in 100 years, and how will they be perceived by people then?

Who knows, right. Yet the things we do and build today in these early NFT days will absolutely pave the way for so many second- and third-order cultural advancements in the decades ahead.

For instance, I contribute to JPG, which is like an NFT curation layer for web3. This week we began recording all the platform’s galleries on-chain to ensure our curatorial provenance forevermore, so we’re building toward the future in such a way that the future can build from us.

That’s just one personal example in one field of interest here, but it’s indicative of how NFTs and related innovations will increasingly carry our digital things and our voices around them farther and more resolutely forward than was ever possible before.

For now, though, the distant future remains exactly that — the distant future — so let’s turn our attention back to the near past and get you caught up on this previous week’s NFT happenings. Have a great weekend everyone ✌️
