Coinbase Brings on Team at 'Onchain Browser' Roam

The deal tasks the startup's team with accelerating Coinbase's consumer onchain efforts.

Xen Baynham-Herd, CEO of crypto startup Roam.xyz, announced yesterday via Twitter post that his company would be joining Coinbase Coinbase in a deal that will include winding down the Roam app.

  • Roam.xyz Team’s Future: Co-founders Xen Baynham-Herd (CEO), Ali Fathalian (CTO), and John Granata (CPO) will be joining Coinbase to assist in the “company’s on-chain consumer efforts”

This deal signals that Coinbase is keeping an eye out for exceptional teams in the consumer space. With the acquisition of the Roam team, Coinbase appears to be investing in a more user-friendly future for onchain apps, one of the main challenges that Roam was tackling.
