Ethereum’s Blast Blast L2 is announcing organizational changes ahead of its June 26 airdrop.

What’s the scoop?

  • New Foundation: A new Blast Foundation has been created to help its community realize the “Blast Vision,” details for which are slated to be released publicly alongside the BLAST airdrop on June 26.
  • Handover of Control: The transition process will handover control over the Blast Twitter account, the Blast website, and Blast protocol governance from Arcade Research (Blast’s developer) to the Blast Foundation.

Bankless Take:

Although today’s introduction of the Blast Foundation revealed little about the role this group will play in the Blast ecosystem going forward, it will likely receive a substantial BLAST allocation to conduct grants programs, institute token incentive initiatives, and steward the community in achieving the “Blast Vision.”
